Step 1:

Research.

First, I researched both similar companies and unrelated companies with similar names. I wanted to make a stand out memorable logo, so I made sure all options that I presented were different than what is already out there.

Step 2:

Sketch & Plan.

Next, I presented the client with four of my favorite sketched ideas and three brand color combinations. We landed on the design that we were both most excited about and chose brand colors that embraced the whimsical and dependable nature of the soap.

Step 3:

Design & Deliver.

Then, using Adobe Illustrator, I took my sketch and finalized the full logo design and logo variations. Once the logos were complete, I used Adobe Indesign to make a mini style guide to accompany the logo and prepare the client to open her brand new Etsy shop!
